The Minimum Living Income (IMV) is the life jacket of many families in a situation of social exclusion. In fact, more than 80,000 households were forced to receive this benefit in the past year. However, to this day, there are still many people who need this help. In this sense, what many beneficiaries wonder is how long they will be able to collect this aid .

It must be taken into account that the right to the benefit arises from the first day of the month following the date of presentation of the application. From here on, the right to the benefit will be maintained as long as the necessary requirements to receive it are met .

Reasons why the right to receive the IMV is suspended
Despite meeting the requirements, the right to the benefit can be suspended for different reasons:

– Temporary loss of any of the requirements for recognition.

– Temporary breach of the obligations assumed when accessing the service.

– When there are indications that the obligations are being breached , until the doubt is resolved.

– Transfer abroad for a continuous period or no longer than 90 days a year, without having notified the managing entity in advance of the same or being duly justified.

– Receive income from work or income derived from an activity as a self-employed person incompatible with the Minimum Living Income.
